What is Google Checkout?
Google Checkout is a new, quick way to shop with many merchants
who display the Google Checkout logo.
Once registered with Google all your payment details are
stored securely by Google ready for use with many different
retailers. Because Google acts as intermediary between you
and the merchant, you are protected wherever you shop.
Google keeps all your order history. You can easily look
up the status of all your Google Checkout orders in one place.
If you don't already have a Google Checkout account, you
can sign up the first time you shop.
FAQ: Google Checkout at SVP
Do I need to login to SVP to use Google Checkout?
No, you can shop at SVP without logging in or registering
with SVP. However an SVP account has some benefits and will
still work with Google Checkout (see next).
What are the benefits of having an SVP account?
As an SVP account holder you can still benefit from the speed
and security of the Google Checkout. Additionally we give
you a detailed order history, online invoicing, stock notifications,
unbranded invoices, review writing, downloadable price lists
and more. Account holders also have the choice of all our
other payment systems.
I already have an SVP account but my Google Checkout order
isn't in my order history. Why?
Google prevents us from learning some of your personal information
so if you're not logged in to SVP we can't tie up your orders
automatically.
If you'd like to move your Google Checkout order into your
account, all you have to do is enter the Google order reference
in your SVP customer account area to claim it.
Can I collect my order placed through Google Checkout?
Yes, you'll need to be logged into your SVP account and also
ensure that your delivery country in SVP is set to 'Collect
in Person' instead of 'UK Mainland' (for example). Then check-out
using Google Checkout.
Can I use SVP coupons when checking out using Google Checkout?
Yes, you will need to click the 'View Cart' button first,
enter the coupon code in the box provided and apply it to
your order. Once done, you can then click the Google Checkout
button and receive the SVP coupon benefit.
