8x Speed Rating

Optical Disc Drives are often marked with different speed ratings. In these cases, speeds are stated for write-once(R) operations, for re-write(RW or RE) operations, and for read-only(ROM) operations. Blank discs in this section have been rated and approved to work at all speeds upto 8x, media beyond 8x will require an optical drive with those speed ratings.
